I'm starting a blog in order to record the little moments that will happen in our family and hopefully I'll keep up with it for years. It's much easier than writing a journal!
Faith is now 2 weeks and 1 day old. She's going through a growth spurt which means lots of sleeping but she eats about twice as often as she did - which is fine since she's mainly on formula but can make things complicated when I think I have more time to get things done that I truly do!
My favorite thing about Faith so far is how she gets so calm while laying on my chest. She can fall asleep in this position - but even if she's alert, she's still very calm. It's such a great bonding time for us.
Since she's laying next to me trying to wake herself up (which is hard for her - she's definitely her father's daughter!) and currently wriggling around in her half-asleep stage, she's getting out the cutest farts ever. Though, that's probably pretty biased since I get mad at Daniel for farting like this. :)
Daniel and I are also trying to figure out her different communication cues. We've definitely figured out "Hungry" and "dirty diaper" cues but when she's tired, we haven't really started to understand yet. We also don't have a routine started for that period of time either. We know her yawns, obviously, but it can take us an hour or so after her first yawn to actually get her to sleep.
